About
The origins of the Maroondah Citizens Advice Bureau began through merging the Ringwood and Croydon offices in 1996.
In 1967 the Ringwood Advisory Service was formed and was one of just ten Advisory Bureaus in existence within Victoria at that time. In 1974 the Croydon Community Service combined with Ringwood to form the Ringwood/Croydon Advisory Service.
Following council amalgamations the two offices became the Maroondah Citizens’ Advice Bureau Inc. in 1996.
Today, the Maroondah Citizens Advice Bureau offers information, referral and emergency relief services from its Croydon and Ringwood offices.
The Croydon office is situated on the southern side of 214 Mt Dandenong Road, Croydon and slightly east of Croydon Main Street. The office is easily accessed by bus services along Mount Dandenong Road or via Croydon Station.
The Ringwood Office is in close proximity to Ringwood Station, which serves as the junction for Belgrave and Lilydale trains and a number of bus routes that serve Eastland Shopping Centre. It is within walking distance of Centrelink, the Court House, Salvation Army, and Wesley Contact Centre.
